# Disable Windows Security

The easiest way to disable Windows Defender is through dControl. We advise you use defender control rather than manually.

1. Download dControl from the link above
2. Unzip the downloaded files (right-click `Defender Control.zip`, extract)
3. Open dControl.exe
4. Click on the "Disable Windows Defender" button
